Sometimes she tries to have a sadistic focus ie her slapping them. Irina is supposed to be a sexual sadist and a rapist. She’s also meant to be super sexual and describes it like that. Eliza seems shy writing them it’s like “I got on top of him and felt his hard on inside me” For a character obsessed with visuals there’s no visual description. The sex scenes are hilariously bad for a book about sex. She sometimes uses very stock phrases a 15 year old would use to get points on a creative writing project. She describes men’s features but it doesn’t really come off very passionate either. Irina is also meant to be wildly attracted to men physically. I don’t feel like Eliza researched photography or anything to prepare for this book… a book about photography! In no way does it seem like she even gives a shit about photography. Irina feels like she should be really passionate about what she does. Looked really good, his eyes looked nice in it” Genuinely no kind of terminology used.
